The pneumatic alumina ceramic carbon steel double gate valve is a commonly used valve in industrial applications. It combines the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of alumina ceramics with the strength and toughness of carbon steel.


Structural Components:


Valve Body: Typically made of carbon steel, such as WCB cast steel, it possesses high strength and stability, capable of withstanding certain pressures and temperatures. The valve body's intermediate section can be welded from seamless steel tubing, featuring a full-flow design without obstructions. Some models also include a blow-off device, allowing for installation at any angle and a compact structure.


Gate and Seat: The sealing surfaces of the gate and seat are made of alumina ceramic material. The ceramic-metal composite structure provides both strength and wear resistance. The ceramic sealing surface hardness can reach 60-70 HRC, with a smooth surface and high wear resistance.


Valve Stem: Generally made of materials such as 2Cr13, it possesses good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, used to connect the gate and the pneumatic actuator to transmit power.


Pneumatic Actuator: Primarily uses piston or diaphragm actuators, powered by compressed air. Equipped with a positioner and valve position feedback device, it enables precise valve control with low pneumatic load and optimized operating torque.


Sealing Components: The sealing packing uses wear-resistant, high-temperature resistant fluororubber sealing components to ensure valve sealing performance under various operating conditions.


Working Principle: When air is supplied from the upper inlet, the air pressure pushes the valve stem, causing the gate to move downwards, closing the valve. When air is supplied from the lower inlet, the valve stem causes the gate to move upwards, opening the valve. A spring is loaded between the gate and the valve seat. The spring force always keeps the gate pressed against the valve seat, ensuring valve sealing. Simultaneously, it allows the gate to move vertically to compensate for thermal expansion and contraction of valve parts and overcome the effect of back pressure changes on the seal, preventing particulate media from entering between the two sealing surfaces. During opening and closing, the gate rotates, causing grinding and polishing between the sealing surfaces, helping to maintain sealing performance.

1. Excellent Sealing Performance: The double-gate structure combined with spring loading achieves excellent sealing performance, with some valves achieving bidirectional sealing. The ceramic sealing surface is precision-machined, resulting in low leakage.


2. High Wear Resistance: The high hardness of alumina ceramic effectively resists the erosion and wear of particulate media, extending its service life by 5-10 times compared to valves made of ordinary materials.


3. High Temperature Resistance: It can operate stably within a certain temperature range. The standard type is generally applicable to temperatures from 0-200℃, and special designs can withstand even higher temperatures.


4. Strong Anti-Ash Accumulation Capacity: The valve body is eccentrically positioned to the channel, generating vortices when opening to discharge materials. These material vortices self-clean the valve cavity, effectively preventing ash accumulation.


Application Areas: Primarily used in pneumatic conveying systems for fly ash in thermal power plants, such as as feed valves for silo pumps, balancing valves, venting valves, exhaust valves, and plugging valves. It is also widely used in industries such as cement, mining, chemical, and papermaking to control the opening and closing of pipelines carrying abrasive dry dust, solid particles, gases, liquids, and other media.
